Dr. Holly Peltz
Veterinarian / Cat Friendly Veterinarian
Dr. Holly Peltz was born and raised in New York, just outside New York City. She moved to Philadelphia for college and initially worked as a recreational therapist after graduation.
While she loved that field, her lifelong passion for animals and dream to become a veterinarian eventually lead her to work as a veterinary technician (originally for Dr. Kirnos at a cat hospital!). During this time, Dr. Peltz realized the importance of a feline-only practice and how different the needs of cats are from dogs. After graduating from the Virgina Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, she worked in a mixed animal practice, seeing both cats and dogs but her love of feline-only hospitals lead her back to working with
Dr. Kirnos, who has always been an important mentor and role model to her. Dr. Peltz enjoys all aspects of feline medicine and has special interests in kidney disease, management of feline asthma and nutrition. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband whom she met in veterinary school, visiting her family in New York, running, hiking and taking care of her own animal menagerie at home.
