Dr. Christine Kirnos is a feline-focused veterinarian with more than two decades of dedicated experience in cat-only medicine. A Delaware County native, she earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Widener University before beginning her career in Reinsurance. Her passion for medicine and for cats ultimately led her back to school to pursue veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2002.
Since 2003, Dr. Kirnos has practiced exclusively in feline-only hospitals. Over the past 20+ years, she has developed extensive experience in advanced feline internal medicine, dentistry, chronic disease management, pain management, and complex soft tissue surgery. She is deeply committed to elevating the standard of feline medical care and believes cats deserve a medical team uniquely trained to understand their physiology, behavior, and subtle clinical signs.
Dr. Kirnos has also dedicated significant time to mentoring fourth-year veterinary students through clinical externships at her hospital, helping shape the next generation of veterinarians in feline-focused care. She has lectured on feline medical topics for veterinary students at the University of Pennsylvania and has presented at professional veterinary meetings.
She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. She also serves on the Alumni Board for the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and remains committed to continuing education to stay at the forefront of evolving feline medical advancements.
Dr. Kirnos lives in Media, PA, with her husband, Paul, their two children, and their four cats. She is proud to serve the community she calls home and values the relationships she has built with generations of local families and their cats. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time outdoors, and exploring the Borough of Media with her family.
