Hi! My name is Sarah. I was born and raised in Media, PA. There were four children in my family and many animals. We were all raised to nurture, respect and love animals. Growing up, my family had animals ranging from farm animals to exotics, and of course cats and dogs. I got my first horse when I was 14 years old and began my first job as a stable hand. I had known early on in my life that all I wanted to do was work with animals in some degree.
I decided to go to college at Delaware Valley University, where I studied Animal Science, and minored in Equine Reproduction. After graduating in 2005, I moved to Kentucky where I bred and trained Thoroughbred horses. I decided to move home some time later and started working with small animals. I worked as a veterinary technician for a large dog and cat practice for several years before I decided to join the team at The Cat Hospital of Media, in July 2017.
It has become apparent that helping animals is what defines me and that is what makes me truly happy. I love learning and ever expanding my knowledge and skills as a technician. Currently, I live with my daughter, Abigail Leigh, 8 cats, my Bernese Mountain Dog, chickens, and my horse. When I am not at work, I enjoy being with my daughter, riding horses, gardening and rescuing and rehabilitating Bernese Mountain Dogs.
