Cardiology

Dr. King received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Cardiology residency at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2008. For Dr.King, seeing her very sick patients improve and be able to go home to their families is one of the most rewarding parts of been a Cardiologist. Treating many different pets with a wide variety of diseases, educating pet parents about the different disease and helping extend patient lives are all also very gratifying. She also finds getting to know each of her patients and their families very fulfilling. Dr.King, her husband and two sons share their home with two German Shorthaired Pointers (Valee and Bourke). They enjoy the beach, the outdoors and the company of family and friends. When not at work, Dr.King enjoys crossfit, running with her dogs, and hiking.

Dr. Megan King, is available every first Thursday of the month for cardiology consultations and echocardiograms. Her consultations include an exam, blood pressure, ultrasound (echocardiogram) of the heart, ECG, and a review of any chest radiographs. Dr. King works closely with your doctor here at The Cat Hospital of Media and any needed follow up can be done here in our cat friendly hospital.
