Small Animal Internal Medicine
Dr. Christina Marino is a Colorado native who received her veterinary medical degree from The Ohio State University. She completed postdoctoral internship and residency training at North Carolina State University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. Completing the rigorous requirements and examinations, she became a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist. She is certified in dialysis for companion animals and has many years training in ultrasound and echocardiogram techniques. She started her own mobile internal medicine and diagnostic imaging practice which brought care directly to the general practices in the Philadelphia area in 2017. She has also worked in several larger specialty practices in New Jersey and New York. Dr. Marino moved to New York City in 2019, but has maintained ties to the Philadelphia area and is excited to continue working with the Cat Hospital of Media to provide the best in-practice medical diagnostic care.
Her interests include, but are not limited to, kidney disease, autoimmune diseases and anything cats. Though she loves internal medicine, she also has a passion for emergency medicine and surgery. She loves to teach, and has presented at several local CE events. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, she is spending time with her husband (also a veterinarian) and 3 cats (2 domestic shorthairs and a Devon Rex). She enjoys living in Manhattan (even during Covid-19) and loves finding new restaurants and safe activities all around the city.
